Roster privacy statement

Roster collects no personal data. This page says what that means in practice, and what Apple and Google handle on their side.

Who we are

Roster is made by Luume Labs Ltd, company number NI744123, registered office Forsyth House, Cromac Square, Belfast BT2 8LA, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as ZC262237. For anything about your data, email privacy@luumelabs.com.

What the app collects

Nothing. Roster has no account or sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking software. It does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, and it makes no network connections of its own.

What stays on your phone

Your progress, scores and settings are saved on your device, in the app's own storage, with a backup copy the app uses to recover a damaged save. Nothing is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them. If your phone backs up its apps, that backup includes Roster's save, under Apple's or Google's terms.

Buying Roster

You buy Roster from the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google take the payment and hold your account, payment details and purchase history under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). We never see them. We receive sales figures with no names attached, and the store handles refunds.

Crash reports and statistics

If you have chosen in your device's settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may pass us crash reports and aggregate figures about the app. That setting is yours to turn off, the data is governed by their policies, and it does not identify you to us.

Testing before release

If you test Roster through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares your email address with us as a tester, along with crash logs, install and session counts, and any feedback or screenshots you send through TestFlight, under Apple's TestFlight terms. We use them only to run the test and fix faults, on the basis of our legitimate interest in testing the app before release (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), and we remove testers from the test when it ends.

Children

Roster is made for anyone, children included. It collects no data from anyone, so it collects none from children, and it has no chat, no adverts and nothing to buy inside it.

Game Center and Google Play Games

Roster does not use them today. If a later version adds leaderboards, achievements or cloud saves through them, this statement will say so before that version ships.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives you the right to see the personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to take it elsewhere. Roster holds nothing about you, so there is nothing for us to find, but you can still ask: email privacy@luumelabs.com and we will answer within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If a future version of Roster collects anything at all, this statement changes before that version ships, and the version's release note says so.
